The Writing Resource Center, located at 141 West 21st Street, room 014C, is open to all matriculated students, free of charge. Students have access to tutors as well as computers for word processing, SVA e-mail and browsing the internet.

An instructor from the Humanities and Sciences Department is present for three hours every day to assist students with general questions about writing or to help them with individual writing assignments related to their classes. Special assistance is also offered for English as a Second Language students and students with learning disabilities.

Adjoining the Writing Resource Center is the Computer Assisted Writing Lab (CAWL), a separate classroom with 22 computers in which teachers may schedule their classes.
